For the longest time after my ex-husband told me he no longer loved me, I tried to understand what I had done wrong and how I had let myself fail.
One day, I received an intuitive message - “Vera, you need to become someone new. It’s time to re-invent yourself.”
I sat down and wrote out all the qualities, characteristics, and personality traits I wanted to embody as I moved forward in my life. The top one was: to be a woman that is optimistic, positive, and takes ownership and responsibility for everything in her life.
Being radically honest about what I wanted and how I wanted to show up in the world AND taking full accountability for every decision that had brought me to this point, was a game-changer for me.
I finally felt empowered, connected to my inner wisdom, and ready to let go of the past, and embrace the future.
I did this same exercise when I left my corporate career to start my business. I wrote how I wanted to show up in my business, with my clients, and in my life.
And recently, I redid this exercise again.
Life is a constant evolution and I know that I am ready for my next up-level. Ready to leap into the next level of growth, both in my business, and in my life.
A powerful realization I had after a conversation with my coach, is that I am ready to stop fucking around, stop thinking small, and stop waiting for something to magically change. Not only don’t I want to, I quite frankly don’t have the time.
Old me would have wanted to get another certification. Plan a new program. Redo my website. Wait until I had “proof’ that I can do more. Wait until I “felt ready”.
The truth is, I am ready NOW. I have what it takes NOW. I can decide to reinvent myself NOW. I can show up as the best version of me NOW.
I know I’m ready because I am consistently seeing my clients achieve income growth by becoming the leader their business requires.

Something I wasn’t expecting as an entrepreneur is the extremely deep and intense inner work that’s required to step into a new version of yourself.
This is an ongoing and continuous process of looking at yourself in the mirror, being brutally honest with yourself, facing your shadows and loving yourself despite all the dark parts, digging deep into your strength reserves, persevering through the challenges, and then recommitting to the journey each and every day.
It makes me so grateful for my earlier life challenges, including a divorce and then getting fired, which left me feeling stuck, overwhelmed, like a failure, and completely unsure of what to do next.
But, it was the start of me developing tools, resources and practices that helped me get unstuck, stop feeling like a failure, and find purpose in my work. It led me hire a coach which ultimately led me to become a coach myself. My journey has led me to today, helping women solopreneurs create the best chapter of their business from a place of clarity, worthiness and confidence.

One of the most fulfilling parts of my business is seeing women come together, help each other, build relationships, do courageous things, cheer each other on, and grow and evolve as people and business-women.
When I first started my business, I felt isolated. I was so used to having a team to brainstorm with, people to get guidance from, and a structure for my work. I realized very early on that I needed to create my own support network (because honestly, my dog Ellie was not a very helpful co-worker!).
I joked with my coach that I wanted a support group for women entrepreneurs. I wanted a way for women to come together and have real, open, and honest conversations about their business. I wanted to know that my questions, feelings, and experiences weren’t crazy or weird. I also wanted to tap into the deep wisdom and experience of other women.
I truly believe that we are meant to live in community, in mutual support of each other, because when one woman rises, we all rise. That’s how and why the Fempreneurs Success Collective was born.
