Happy September!

Happy #September!

September is a great time of year to reset -- it's almost like the "other new year". I know this is a busy time with back to school, back to office for some, activities starting up again, etc. The theme of uncertainty, chaos, and anxiety also continues, and I don't think that's ever really going to change. So now is the perfect time to reset, so that we can go into the fall and winter months feeling energized and healthy.

I'm cheering you on to:

✔️Stay committed to your physical health and physical activity. It's the number one way to keep your immune system boosted. For me, I'm re-committing to getting outside for walks and runs, going to the gym, and also getting back to doing yoga at least once a week.

✔️Journal to look after your emotional/mental/spiritual wellness. I've been doing a lot more meditation lately (there are amazing free guided meditations out there) and also a lot more journaling which has been helpful to get out my thoughts and feelings and reflect on these in a quiet way. Check out my weekly journaling prompts that I post each Friday on Facebook and Instagram).

✔️Stay connected with your friends and family - preferably not on video if possible. We need face-to-face human interaction. Plan a walk with a friend or a coffee date. And remember to hug. Physical touch is so important for us as well.

✔️Eat healthy. It's a great time to pull out those cookbooks you haven't seen in a while and try some new recipes. The farmer's markets are filled with yummy and healthy vegetables now too. I love fall for making soups, chilis, and one pot dishes that are healthy and nourishing (and make great leftovers for lunches).

✔️Take care of you. Think about what you need most right now. Listen to your gut, listen to your heart. By taking care of you, you can better take care of those you love.
